Menominee Township News

The Menominee County Historical Society and the Menominee Township Board have erected a memorial to remember Menominee County's victims of the Peshtigo Fire in Birch Creek. The Flame Memorial is in the Menominee Township Park, US 41 north of Bay de Noc Road. The kiosk contains Peshtigo Fire information.

The Menominee Township Board and the Menominee Ingallston Fire Chief would like to remind everyone of two things. First, driveways need to be kept plowed of snow and also trimmed of trees and branches (including overhanging)so that it is wide enough for the fire trucks to get through in case of emergency. Also, carbon monoxide detectors are an important safety tool, but, they are built to fail at 7 years, so they need to be replaced just before that for your uninterrupted safety.

The next regular monthly Menominee Township Board Meeting will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Menominee Township Hall at 6:30 p.m.

The public is encouraged to attend all township meetings.
